Artist Statement

My current work is concerned with patterns made popular by 20th century wallpaper design. Although I mainly work in slip cast tiles, I see pottery as a way to invite those elements back into the domestic setting. Through the subtlety of daily use, I hope these designs will invoke nostalgia of past homes and heartfelt spaces for the user.
